Cascadia and Woodinville High School Team Up For Community
Education
Bothell, WA - Cascadia Community College is proud to announce it is
now offering Community Education classes at Woodinville High School, as part of
an on-going commitment to make education available to all residents of eastern
King and south Snohomish counties. This new partnership will make it easier for
the people of Woodinville and its surrounding communities to take advantage of
the exciting educational opportunities Cascadia has to offer.
“For us, Community Education needs to match the needs of the communities we
serve,” said Dr. Jean Hernandez, Executive Vice President for Student Learning.
“That means, not only offering the kinds of enriching learning opportunities
that we do, but making them accessible, as well. We are very excited about this
new partnership with Woodinville High School.”
This winter, Cascadia is featuring three classes on the campus of Woodinville
High School. One, Throwing at the Potter’s Wheel: Beginner & Beyond, introduces
students to the fascinating, and often unpredictable world of ceramic art. Our
second option is Exquisite Wire Jewelry Making, where students will learn to
make fantastic and personal jewelry, without using glue or soldering. Lastly,
Cascadia is offering a class in Beginning Art Welding, where students will be
introduced to the basics of welding and complete the course by building a garden
sculpture.
Class times and availability vary. For more information on these educational
opportunities, visit the Community Education section of www.Cascadia.edu or call
