Author and Anti-Racist Speaker to Present Public Discussion at Cascadia Community College Campus

Bothell, WA - Internationally-recognized author Tim Wise will present a lecture on "Race, White Privilege, and the Problem of Color-blindness." It is scheduled for room UW2-005 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Thursday, May 18, 2006 on the shared campus of Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington Bothell at 18115 Campus Way NE, Bothell, 98011.

The speech will be open to the public and there is no charge to attend.

This event is co-sponsored by the Theory/Politics/Critique Collective (a Cascadia Community College Student Club), the Global Human Rights Alliance (GHRA), the International Club at Cascadia Community College, and the Cascadia Activities Board.

Wise is the author of two books: White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son (Soft Skull Press) and Affirmative Action: Racial Preference in Black and White (Routledge).
