Cascadia Community College Literary Magazine, Wetlands Review, Wins Regional Award

Bothell, WA - Cascadia Community College’s annual college literary magazine, Wetlands Review, has won the Small College Award in the Pacific-Western region of the Community College Humanities Association Literary Magazine Competition.

Jared Leising and Robyn Condit, English faculty advisors for the publication, received notice that the award will be presented at the Community College Humanities Association conference in Los Angeles on November 10.

“The credit for the quality and depth of our publication should go to the faculty, staff and students who work on the publication and who create the art and writing,” said Mr. Leising.

Wetlands Review is published annually and distributed on campus free of charge. The 2006 Wetlands Review, published in the spring, features 65 poems, stories and photographs and other visual arts created by members of the Cascadia Community College community.

“We are very proud of this recognition, and especially of the students who made it possible,” said Robyn Condit, co-advisor. “I hope it will energize next year's production and encourage even more writers and artists across the campus to submit their work and help us maintain the excellent quality of our growing magazine.”
