After testing, present scores to Educational Support Services to determine your eligibility for the program.
You are eligible for Running Start if you place into English 101 (Reading & Writing). Students who wish to enroll in math and/or other courses that require a math prerequisite should take the math test as well.
- Eligible students (Go to next step)
- Non-eligible students can assess again after a 30-day waiting period.
|
| |
| Step 5 |
Turn in the required paperwork and documentation to Educational Support
Services in Room CC1-130 by the quarterly

Running Start Orientation will result in a loss of eligibility. |
| |
| Step 6 |
Before the New Running Start Student Orientation, you will need to complete the following items.
- View schedule of classes online for class selection: Class Schedule Index, or pick up a printed schedule from campus
- Meet with your high school counselor to obtain his/her signature and designation of high school equivalency on your Quarterly Release Form
- Make alternate plans in case the classes you need are not available
- Have your Parent and/or Guardian sign your Quarterly Release Form
- Bring photo ID - you cannot register without it.
|
| |
| Step 7 |
Students must attend the New Running Start Student Orientation. Please arrive early,
as late arrivals will not be admitted. In this instance, you will have to reapply next quarter if no other orientations are available. |
| |
| Step 8 |
If you reschedule or miss your Orientation appointment, the classes you want may not be available at a later date. We cannot guarantee enrollment in courses, even those required for high school graduation. Therefore, please prepare an alternative schedule with your high school counselor. |
