The Cascadia Community College board of trustees (pictured above with Cascadia President Dr. Bill Christopher) is an agency of the State of Washington and derives its authority as described in Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapter 28B.

 

Kirstin Haugen, Chair

Ms. Haugen was appointed to the board in January 2007. Ms. Haugen is an Account Executive who handles the  AT&T Portfolio for Mercury, LLC, in Seattle. She was the Lead legislative aide from 2004-2006 for King County Councilmember Bob Ferguson. Ms. Haugen received a B.A. in English from the University of Washington. In addition, Ms. Haugen is a board member of the Northshore Performing Arts Center and a Democratic Precinct Committee Officer in Windsor Precinct, Bothell.

 

Mike Martino, Vice Chair

Mr. Martino was appointed to the board in November 2004 and reappointed in October 2006. Mr. Martino is CEO of Arzeda Corporation and past president of Sonus Pharmaceuticals which he joined in September 1998 as chief operating officer, a director and was appointed chief executive officer in July 1999. Mr. Martino received a B.A. in business from Roanoke College and an M.B.A. from Virginia Tech. In addition, Mr. Martino is a past chairman of the board of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association (WBBA).

 

Jean Magladry

Ms. Magladry was appointed to the board in December 2003 and reappointed in November 2007.  Ms. Magladry is an attorney at law at MW Injury Solutions. She received her P.S. J.D. from Gonzaga Law School and a B.A. in history from the University of Maryland. She formerly served on the Washington State Trial Lawyers board of directors, as co-chair of Women of WSTLA (WOW). She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the Oregon State Bar Association.

 

Dr. Julie Miller

Dr. Miller was appointed to the board in December 2009.  She is the Founder and CEO of Business Writing that Counts!, in Woodinville  Dr. Miller received an Ed.D. from Seattle University and her M.A. from the University of Southern California.  In addition Dr, Miller serves on the board of governors at USC, is an advisor for Junior League of Seattle and Women Business Owners, sits on the board of Friends of the Orphans, and belongs to the Seattle Rotary.

 

Roy Wilkinson

Mr. Wilkinson was appointed to the board in November 2004 and reappointed in September 2008. He is a Boeing machinist union member, an Eagle, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Wilkinson has worked for Boeing since 1977. Before that, he served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Over the past 25 years, he has served as an active member of the International Association of Machinists District 751-E. Currently legislative chair of his local, he has also served as a trustee and vice president, and he is a delegate to the King County and Washington State Labor Councils.
