Director of Continuing Education

Christine Evans has over 11 years of experience in higher education program management. She has managed continuing education, GED preparation, and various grant-funded programs. She has also taught computer, orientation, and student success courses. In 2007 she was named Administrator of the Year for the entire Alabama Community College system. Ms. Evans has a great deal of experience in public speaking and recruiting. She has presented at many conferences, including the 10th Annual National WorkKeys Conference and she is a licensed auctioneer. She is a graduate of Porter-Gaud school in Charleston, South Carolina, earned her B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration from the University of South Carolina, and her M.S. in Education with a minor in Human Resource Management from Troy University. She has studied Servant Leadership under William B. Turner and Kelvin Redd at the Center for Servant Leadership. Ms. Evans is also certified as a grant writer, a grant consultant, and a grant specialist.
