Director of International Programs

Mr. Kibukawa joined Cascadia in 2007 and directs programs for international students and study abroad. He brings more than 17 years of broad educational experience to Cascadia, including 9 years with international education programs at Seattle Central Community College. He has traveled abroad extensively to market programs and recruit students. He is a former director of the Washington Community College Consortium for Study Abroad and has served as reader for the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships. From 2002 to 2004 he coordinated a federal Title VI-A grant for the Seattle Community College District VI that internationalized college curricula and provided for faculty development. He is actively involved in legislative advocacy and currently serves on the board of the Foundation for International Understanding Through Students and the Washington State Association for Multicultural Education. Mr. Kibukawa is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Seattle University School of Law.
