Jessica Ketcham Weber earned her PhD in English: Rhetoric, Writing, and Cultural Studies with doctoral minors in Women’s and Gender Studies and Communication Studies from Louisiana State University. Also at LSU, Dr. Ketcham Weber earned a dual degree BA in Creative Writing, with a focus on poetry, and Literature, with a focus on class, gender, and race. Prior to coming to Cascadia, she taught Composition, Environmental Literature, Film and Media Studies, and Gender Studies for seven years. She has published articles and chapters about media representations of activists, feminist pedagogical practices, and digital media and popular culture in the composition classroom. In addition to teaching, she spends much of her time actively involved in numerous community media, arts, and environmental organizations.
