To manage the registration process smoothly and fairly, Cascadia assigns continuing and returning students a “registration time” before opening registration to all students.
You can register online [student ID and PIN required] or in person at the registration time assigned to you or any time after, but not before.
For details on registering, see Apply/Register and the academic calendar.
You can add classes online [student ID and PIN required] or in person at Kodiak Corner/Student Services Center prior to the beginning of the quarter. You can add classes in person at Kodiak Corner through the 10th day of the quarter (date adjusted for summer quarter). Instructor permission is required to add a class after the quarter has started. Complete the Credit Registration Form [PDF} and obtain the instructor's signature or a confirming email from the instructor. Registration for self-paced classes is open through the 40th calendar day of the quarter ( date adjusted for summer quarter).
You can drop classes online [student ID and PIN required] or in person by completing the Credit Registration Form [PDF] and submitting it to the Kodiak Corner/Student Services Center through the 10th day of the quarter. The instructor's permission is not required. You will not receive a grade on your transcript for courses dropped through the 10th day.
Beginning on the 11th calendar day of the quarter through the 6th week, you can withdraw from classes online [student ID and PIN required] or by completing a Credit Registration Form [PDF] and submitting it at Kodiak Corner/Student Services Center. You will receive a "W" grade.
If you fail to follow the procedure for officially withdrawing, you will receive a grade in accordance with the instructor’s grading policy.
If you audit a class, you participate in coursework at the instructor’s discretion, but you don’t earn any credit. The audit grade is not calculated in your GPA.
Up to the second week of the quarter, you may initiate a change to or from audit status without instructor permission. After the end of the second week of the quarter, instructor permission is required. After the 6th week, no change in status may be made.
You can change to audit status online [student ID and PIN required] after you have registered for the class.
The waitlist is an option offered automatically during registration. Before registering and adding your name to the waitlist be sure to clear any holds on your student account, including parking fines, library dues, outstanding debts, or unpaid fees. Unresolved holds will result in being removed from the waitlist.
You must check your Student Schedule DAILY to find out if you have been automatically added into your class(es).
REMEMBER tuition is due either by the tuition deadline or, if you have been waitlisted into a class after the deadline, tuition and fees are due by 8:00 am on the second business day. Non-payment may result in being dropped from your class(es).
For additional questions and information, please call 425.352.8860 or stop by the Kodiak Corner/Student Services Center for the "How the Automated Waitlist Works" flyer.
