IMPORTANT: To avoid missing your class, look for the code OLW on your registration confirmation. If you don’t see the code OLW, go to the correct instructions for your class type: online (OL) or hybrid (H).
Washington Online (WAOL) classes have different log-in pages and exam requirements from other eLearning classes at Cascadia. Please follow the instructions carefully.
Washington Online classes are offered by a consortium of state community colleges. In a Washington Online class, your instructor and your classmates may be from anywhere in Washington state.
Every quarter we send out this letter to students who have registered in an online course for the upcoming quarter.
Prepare for class: Test your access to the class website, do the Week Zero tutorial, buy your textbooks, and make a backup plan for attending class online. Classes are held on the ANGEL online learning system. Click on the link above to get more information.
Washington Online courses always begin on a Thursday. See the schedule/catalog for the start date for your class. Click on the link above to get more information.
Log in to your class website. It is your obligation to log into the class on the first day — don’t wait for an email message from your instructor.
Online classes require regular participation. If you find that you can’t participate regularly, let your instructor know right away.
The first 2 weeks of an online class can be the most challenging weeks of the quarter. Don’t give up. If you have trouble, help is available. Click on the link above to get more information.
