Cascadia’s English Language Program (ELP) provides intensive academic English classes for international students.

Benefits of Cascadia's Program

Cascadia's English Language Program offers you these advantages:

  • Dedicated program staff. We are deeply committed to the success of each of our students, and we are always available to answer questions and help you with challenges.
  • Outstanding instructors. We have highly qualified, experienced instructors who are dedicated to your success.
  • Academic preparation. We provide an innovative program with a strong emphasis on academic preparation for college success. Our program includes these features:
    • 20 hours a week of intensive academic English
    • 5 levels of instruction in academic reading, writing, speaking and listening, and grammar
  • In addition to traditional language skills, we teach you the cultural and academic skills that you will need to succeed in academic credit classes.

  • Interaction with native speakers. We create many opportunities for you to interact with other students on campus, including conversation partners, student learning communities, social events, and an active International Club

Admission and Tuition

  • Admission: We do not require TOEFL or any other standardized tests. We test and place each student in the appropriate class level during the first week of the program. If you provide appropriate test scores or transcripts, you may take college level (academic or professional technical) classes your first quarter at Cascadia. See International Students: How to Apply for details.
  • Tuition: Cascadia’s non-resident tuition is very competitively priced. See Cascadia’s tuition chart for international students.

We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly and beautiful campus in Bothell, Washington. To apply, see International Students: How to Apply.
