User Interface Developer Certificate

This second-level certificate allows you to develop interactive scripting techniques and interactive design. User Interface Developers shape our daily experience interacting with web sites and cloud-based services, like Google Docs.

You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Web interaction design using the latest web standards: HTML/CSS, Flash/Actionscript, JQuery/Javascript, and XML/JSON/AJAX
  • Developing the skills needed to work in development teams, including peer code reviews, and design presentations
  • Web designers can learn how to develop interactive scripting techniques and web programmers can focus on interactive design

Program Prerequisites: BIT 113 and BIT 115 or prior web design and programming experience with instructor permission.

 

Complete all of the following courses:

 

BIT 116 Scripting 5 credits 
BIT 161 Vector Graphics 1 credit
BIT 168 Interactive Authoring 4 credits
BIT 175 Interactive Design for the World Wide Web 5 credits

 

Complete one of the following courses:

 

BIT 197 BIT Work-Based Learning I 1 credit
BIT 297 BIT Work-Based Learning II 1 credit

 

Total minimum credits required: 16
