This Certificate Prepares You For...

The PC network technician certificate program prepares you to install, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware and Microsoft operating and software systems. You will gain familiarity with PCs and hands-on experience in: 

  • Documenting maintenance
  • Performing upgrades
  • Replacing hardware and software
  • Keeping computers, printers, routers, hubs, and wireless systems in good running condition
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware and software problems

Prerequisite credits do not apply toward certificate

 

BIT 101 Computer Basics 2 7 credits

 

Program Requirements

Complete all of the following courses:

 

BIT 102 Network Design Concepts 5 credits 
BIT 126 Network Client Systems 5 credits
BIT 225   Server Operating Systems and Client Integration 6 credits

 

Select one of the following 2 courses:

 

BIT 197 BIT Work-Based Learning I 1 credit
BIT 297 BIT Work-Based Learning II 1 credit
