Student Government

Cascadia Student Government represents student needs and desires. Acting as the student voice, CSG furthers student opportunities by creating positive relationships with students, faculty, administration, and our surrounding community.

High School you graduated from (and city): Henry M. Jackson High School - Mill Creek, WA.

 

What are you studying? Bioengineering

 

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?

I chose to attend Cascadia because it is a school that’s diverse and innovative. It’s environmentally friendly campus was very appealing to me, plus it is so close to my home!

 

What are your hobbies/interests? (Outside of school):

I love to run, read, and go hiking. Traveling is another big hobby of mine because I love to learn about different cultures and see the world!

 

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach those goals?:

My plan is to transfer to UW Seattle and get into their BioEngineering department. I would love to work in a hospital creating and implementing different technology that makes disease, illness, and injury easier. Cascadia is helping me reach my goals by giving me the classes I need to apply to the department at UW.

 

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?

Getting involved is a great way to make your college experience THAT much better and a great way to learn and develop leadership skills!!!

What are you studying? Business

 

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?:

I chose to attend Cascadia because of its high transfer rate to the University of Washington Bothell.

 

What are your hobbies/interests? (Outside of school):

Music and singing have played a large role in my life. I have been taking vocal lessons for over 11 years and have been giving vocal lessons for over 3 years.

 

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach those goals?:

My plan is to transfer to the University of Washington Bothell to continue my Business degree. Cascadia provides excellent Business classes that help me prepare for my continuation in this pathway.

 

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?

Students should get involved in Cascadia Student Life because it is a great learning experience in a fun and inviting environment.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?:

The parking is worse at Everett Community College

 

What are your hobbies/interests? (Outside of school):

Auto mechanics, chicken husbandry, organic vegetable gardening

 

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach those goals?:  

I will attend business school at the UW. Cascadia offers the prerequisites.

 

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?

I believe that involvement in student life enriches a student’s educational experience and expands the opportunities available to Cascadia students.

Title/Position (Student Leader): Director of Public Relations and Technology

 

High School you graduated from (and city): I have a South Korean GED, and I am from the hearts of Seoul.

 

What are you studying? I’m studying liberal arts and sciences. I’m here to explore what I truly want to do. I plan to choose among Mechanical Engineering, Business, and Computer Science.

 

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?:

As an international student, I can say that the website was a huge attraction because it looked phenomenal and engaging. Moreover, it’s a new college that is full of possibilities.

 

What are your hobbies/interests? (Outside of school):

I love reading the news on innovative startups and listening to music, especially rave music. My interest is enlarging my business that I did back in South Korea regarding convention building, education, and patent filing.

 

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach those goals?:

I wish to transfer to any prestigious four year university that can help me contribute to the society and make something larger than life. Cascadia’s classes are helping me to grow as an individual by teaching me ethics, integrity, and beyond. My professors truly care about my education, intellectual debate is always present, and my professors and peers are simply awesome.

 

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?

Student Life has so much creative and great activities that are just missing one spice: your participation!

What are you studying? Business with a focus in accounting

 

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?:

I liked Cascadia a lot when I was in the running start program. It just made sense to finish my associates.

 

What are your hobbies/interests? (Outside of school):

I like lifting, sleeping in the woods and playing obscure videogames.

 

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach those goals?:

Attending the Foster School of Business over at UW Seattle, cascadia has great transfer programs and I like the learning style, so it's the best way to prepare for Foster.

 

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?

You really don't want to look back and think you missed out. Student life is a great way to meet amazing people and have a great time.
