Members of the Student Government

My name is Jared Trinka, and I am honored to be your Cascadia Student Government (CSG) President this year. Here are a few things about myself: I was born and raised in the greater Bothell area, and I come from a large family. Once I finish up my second year here at Cascadia I intend to transfer to the University of Washington Bothell to continue my studies, with a focus in Business Administration. Music is also one of my greatest passions; I love a wide variety of genres, and I am musician myself.

I am so excited to work with CSG to serve you all in whatever way I can. If you see me around campus please feel free to say hello and approach me with any concerns, questions, or just random conversation!

See you around!

Jared Trinka

CSG President

Hi! My name is Alex Chuprin. This is my second year here at Cascadia and my first year on Cascadia Student Government. I am currently the Director of Budget and Finances on CSG. I am a very tall Russian who is pursuing a transfer degree. I plan to transfer to UW and study Computer Science. I believe that Cascadia is the best place to nurture students’ abilities to move forward in life. My motto is Success, Success, Success. If you see me I like to strike up conversations about Conspiracy theories, Space and technology and philosophy of life. Say hi, don’t be shy!

Howdy y’all! My name is Catharina Whipple, you can call me Cat for short. I am the Director of Government Relations in Cascadia’s Student Government. I deal with state legislative issues that affect college students like you, if you have any questions about this let me know! This is my second year at Cascadia and I have enjoyed every minute that I have been here! I am a homeschooled running start student so I still am in high school, but I take all of my classes here at Cascadia. When I graduate next spring I am hoping to transfer to a 4 year university to study communications, after that join the military, and maybe someday become a police officer. Besides school I love studying the Bible, researching wars, and playing sports (mostly snowboarding, basketball, running, and archery). If you see me around school come and say hi to me! I am here to help you get the most out of your time here at Cascadia!

Hey there fellow Kodiaks, my name is Emma Hoang. I am your 2013-2014 Director of Public Relations and Technology, and I plan on doing my best to get to know as many of you as I can in order to fully advocate for your needs. This is my second and last year at Cascadia, and I can vouch that it is an excellent place to foster your education. After I obtain my integrated studies transfer in the winter, I hope to move to San Francisco to attend a four-year university. I’m a very approachable person; I have a natural curiosity to get to know people and I love to listen. If you can hold a conversation, take jokes, and comprehend sarcasm, we will probably get along. Key word: probably. During the year, I will be on campus for a majority of my time, so please feel free to introduce yourself if you see me walking around!

My name is Christopher Knudson and I'm the Director of Government Relations for Cascadia Student Government. As a business student at Cascadia, I intend to transfer to the UW. I am also a small business owner and a member of the Business Club. I aspire to start and grow many businesses, take lots of sunny vacations, and have a big family (like 5 kids.) In my free time I enjoy turning wrenches, working around the house, jet skis at the lake property, and spending quality time with my significant other.
