What are you studying?
I am pursuing my Associates in Business with an emphasis in Political  Science. I plan to transfer to a four-year university to obtain my degrees in international finance with a minor in political science.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
I chose to attend Cascadia mainly for the location and size of the college. I am from a small town in North Central Washington and I wanted to go to college in a “city environment”. Bothell gives me the perfect medium of city and small town living. Here at Cascadia we get to have new experiences and meet plenty of new people, while still having a small campus and community feeling. I am so excited to be a first year student here and I couldn't imagine starting my college journey anywhere else.

What are you hobbies/interests?
Outside of Student Life and classes you can find me out hiking, trying ALL of the different coffee shops (any recommendations are appreciated), being overly proud of favorite sports team, playing basketball, tennis, tossing the football around, binge watching   all things on Netflix from Greys Anatomy to Friday Night Lights, reading books on all things self help and leadership, staying up to date on the news, and spending time with the coolest people in the world, my family.

What are your plans after Cascadia?
After Cascadia I plan on transferring to a four-year university to study international finance and political science. I hope to pursue a career in managing loans for fortune 500 companies before starting a career in public service, and running for political office. This year serving you all will give me the opportunity to develop skills in professional development, leadership, and communication, all of which are crucial to my intended career fields.

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
Growing up I always heard “you get out of life what you put into it” and I believe that college is the same way. It is so easy go to class and then go home, not having to talk to anyone or embrace the awkwardness that comes with putting yourself out there to meet new people. But imagine how much more enjoyable your classes, day and overall college experience would be if you got to know the individuals going through the same exact things you are? Imagine meeting a group of individuals that have the same interests that you have and getting to grow, learn and serve together? That is the opportunity that Cascadia Student Life provides for you. It brings students together who not only hold positions but who are willing to step out of their comfort zones and engage in events on campus. Student life also gives you the opportunity to make a difference on campus and to have your voice heard concerning problems or challenges that need to be addressed for all students. Cascadia Student Life empowers students, develops students, and helps bring all of us a little bit closer in world where it’s easy to be so far apart. The real question is… is there a reason not be involved?

What are you studying?
I am getting my Associate’s degree in Science.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
I have always wanted to study in the US, and Seattle was my favorite city. I did my research, looked at the colleges close to the city. Cascadia was the most appealing option: I loved the way campus looked, the classes offered and small student body size.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I am a big book nerd. I recently started videoblogging, so I am still in the process of learning how to make a great video. I am a very chatty person, so I will be happy to discuss books, content creating or anything else you would like to talk about!

What are your plans after Cascadia and how is Cascadia helping you reach your goals?
My plan is to transfer to a four year university to get a degree in Biology. Cascadia creates an environment where one can learn valuable skills which will help someone succeed at a university.

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
Students should get involved in Cascadia Student Life to get the most from their college years! It is their chance to meet new people, have fun and learn something new. Cascadia Student Government is here to make the student voices heard – let us know if there is anything that bothers you and we will try to help out. We can’t help you if you do not connect with us! :)

What are you studying?

I am in my second year of getting my Integrated studies degree, planning to graduate in Spring 2019. After graduation I plan to study at a four year institution, majoring in Political Science. Hopefully attending law school after.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
Financially and geographically Cascadia was the best choice for me. I knew that I wanted to study at a four year institution eventually but wasn't ready to go into debt this early while just obtaining my prerequisites. I was happy to have a school within 7 minutes driving distance from my house as well.

What are your plans after Cascadia?
After Cascadia I plan to attend a four year institution and become a lawyer. As of right now I want to major in Political Science and then attend law school. I am looking to go into Criminal Law but I am still just learning about the different types of law so I am not sure. I definitely am going to be very career driven for the next few years of my life.

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
I really believe that we are working as advocates for our peers and we can make a difference. That is why people should want to get involved with Student Life. You get to be a part of something and learn so much while earning money at the same time. I think there is so much that can be learned from working together with so many different people and getting out of your comfort zone each and everyday. If you want a flexible schedule and some new forever friends I recommend joining Student Life!

High School you graduated from (and city): Juanita High School, Kirkland, WA

What are you studying?
I am studying an AA in integrated studies.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
I chose Cascadia because of its unique campus, resources and placement. Cascadia's campus is unmatched with beauty and its location enables easy access from the nearby residents.

Cascadia gives a wealth of information to its students for success on and off the campus. I truly do love when a college does the extra step to ensure that its students have the resources to succeed! With these reasons, I don't see why I wouldn't attend Cascadia!

What are your hobbies/interests?
I love hiking and fishing! When I was in elementary school I lived in a house with a small forrest across the street. I used to play a lot in there when and pretend I was Bear Grylls from the TV show "Man vs Wild". That helped spark my love for the outdoors! I also come from a long line of outdoorsmen that taught me their skills that they have learned over a lifetime. I am very lucky to have learned from them and be able to live in a state where I can put those skills to use!

What are your plans after Cascadia?
After getting an AA in integrated Studies, I plan to transfer to UWB and complete a Bachelor of Arts. I am still an open book to new opportunities, but I am hoping to get a job in law enforcement!

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
Last year I was in Running Start for my senior year of high school at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. I used to see the events that student life hosted and didn't have a care for them, because I just wanted to get my school work done and go back home and sleep. However, after some convincing from family and Student Government leaders there  I applied for a job at Student Government and grew as a person and really did enjoy my time there. My point is that students should try at least one of the events that we host. I wish I had participated sooner because I had so much fun and made so many great memories that I would like other people to make too!

High School you graduated from (and City):
 Chiawana High School, Pasco, WA

What are you studying?
I am studying for my general biology associates degree at Cascadia and fulling prerequisitesfor a biomedical engineering degree at a four-year institution.

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
I decided to go to Cascadia because after moving up here from Pasco, I wanted an affordable, natural and welcoming campus. Of all the two-year colleges I looked at, Cascadia had the strongest sense of community, so I was set on attending here.

What are your Hobbies/Interests?
Some of my hobbies are activism, binging on Netflix, drawing, reading, and hiking. I like cacti and the desert will forever be my home.  I love researching topics I am passionate about. I have a cat at home that I adore, her name is Luna and she loves to go on hikes with me.

What are your plans after Cascadia?
After Cascadia, I am planning on transferring to a four-year institution. I am in the process of building a tiny home with my partner and moving to California.  My dream is to be able to run and own my own research lab focusing on minority health issues, such as LGBTIA+ health, mental health, addiction, and working to make health care, like prescriptions, more accessible to the people who need them.

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
Classes and studying come first, but there is also so much else to do at Cascadia. Getting involved is a great way to meet new people and see all that Cascadia has to offer. Get the college experience, GO KODIAKS.

What are you studying?
I am currently working towards my associate degree in Integrated Studies.

Cascadia College allows me to stay close to home, while also aiding towards a smooth transition into a four year university.

What are you studying?
I am currently in the Bachelor of Applied Science and Sustainable Practices (BASSP) program

Why did you choose to attend Cascadia?
Like many Cascadia students I come from the area. When I wanted to return to school I knew that I had the specific goal of working in the sustainability field. While doing research into colleges I was ecstatic to find a bachelor program being offered here. Once I talked to the advisor and joined the program I knew I had made the right decision. This is an amazing campus with awesome people!

What are your hobbies/interests?
I love outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and camping. The Pacific Northwest is an incredible area to live and has always been an inspiration to me. I also love all things pop culture including movies, music, and sports.

What are your plans after Cascadia?
I am not sure what I will do once I leave Cascadia although I know it will be in the sustainability field. I love learning about sustainability and all the ways that it can improve our lives. I hope to make the world a better place for generations to come.

Why should students get involved in Cascadia Student Life?
I believe that stronger communities can solve a lot of the problems that our world faces. I would like to see more people involved in anyway that they can. "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." AFRICAN PROVERB
