The Strategic Planning MatrixThe Strategic Planning Matrix is a chart of strategies that will guide the college towards its vision during the 2001-2003 biennium. It is structured to reflect each of the college's nine strategic directions and twenty-six identified goals under those directions. The chart also provides information in nine columns to indicate the following: Assessment Date: This date indicates approximate completion and/or assessment for this particular strategy. Strategy: Each strategy defines a discrete task to be accomplished. Primary Responsibility: The position title of the person primarily responsible for accomplishing and assessing this strategy is listed in this column. Collaborators: Other individuals, colleges, teams, or other groups who will assist in accomplishing this strategy are listed in this column. Assessment Measures: A measurable outcome(s) for each strategy is defined in this column. Applicable Accreditation Standard: Because most of what we do has some relationship to our overall assessment and accreditation, the applicable standard for each strategy is listed in this column. Vanguard Objective and Expected Outcome: Much of our work as the Cascadia Team also corresponds to the Vanguard Learning College Project objectives and outcomes. By determining the relationship of the objectives to our college strategies, we will be better able to assess our progress for the Vanguard project. Applicable Policy and Procedure Reference and/or Value Addressed: In this column, the strategy is cross referenced to an applicable portion of the college's Policies and Procedures Manual, and one or more of our college values are identified for each strategy. Critical Issues for 2001-2003 (CI): During the 2001-03 biennium, the college will place four identified "critical issues" in top priority status: #1 Accreditation; #2 Assessment (courses, programs, and the institution); #3 Curriculum Expansion: Arts/Technology, Global Education, Environmental Science, Human Services; #4 Alternate Scheduling and Delivery Methods To view an excerpt of the Strategic Planning Matrix for 2001 - 03 click here. |
