Technology

Technology has been an integral part of Cascadia since the college was in the planning stage. Technology permeates everything we do, but as a tool not as an objective itself. It is treaded through the cloth of Cascadia but it is one element among many, as indicated in our mission:

Cascadia is a community college whose caring culture supports creative, comprehensive, culturally rich, technologically advanced and learner-centered education that is environmentally sensitive and seamlessly linked with the community, area enterprise and other educational institutions.

With our focus on learning, our proudest achievement in technology is the way our students have integrated technology into their learning. Students are learning technology both on their own and in the classroom; students are using technology to learn and demonstrate content throughout the curriculum; and students are supporting the use of technology in every area throughout the college through their work in labs, with the campus networking, as programmers and in creating multimedia CDs and web sites for Cascadia.
