What is the CARE Team?

The CARE Team is a collection of staff and faculty who work with Cascadia students when they are facing challenging situations. CARE Team members meet with students to collect information and determine what resources would be best to connect students with. The CARE Team will respond to reports within 24 business hours. For any type of emergency situation, please call 911 for an immediate assistance.

When Should I Contact the CARE Team?

The CARE Team supports students through a wide range of non-emergency situations:

  • Emotional distress, mental health challenges
  • Food insecurity or homelessness
  • Trouble paying financial costs (eg: medical bills, utilities)
  • Concern about another student's behavior
  • Struggling with academics

Feel free to contact the CARE Team if you are concerned about yourself, someone else, or a specific situation. We understand it can it can be difficult to navigate through challenging situations while taking classes. The CARE Team will do it's best to support student through overwhelming times.

To contact the CARE Team, please file a report on your behalf or for someone else. Please remember, the CARE Team will respond to report within 24 business hours. For any emergency situations, please call 911.
