2017 Campus Master Plan
University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College
The Bothell City Council approved the University of Washington Bothell / Cascadia
College Campus Master Plan on November 14, 2017.
Final approval of the Campus Master Plan from UW Board of Regents is scheduled for
January 11, 2018 and from the Cascadia College Trustees on January 17, 2018.
The University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College are co-located on a 132-acre
campus situated northwest of the I-405/SR 522 interchange. Of the total land area,
58 acres are preserved in wetlands, leaving a developable area of 74 acres.
In June 2016, the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College embarked on
a yearlong process to produce a joint campus Master Plan.
This process allowed the two institutions -- in collaboration with the City of Bothell,
community members, and neighbors -- to develop a comprehensive approach to campus
growth. We engaged in a thoughtful process that evaluated enrollment projections,
facility needs, and environmental and traffic impacts, to produce a document that
will guide the future development of our campus.
This web page is designed to document the process undertaken and address questions
about the Campus Master Plan. Our Campus Map illustrates locations of current building projects.
