Equity & Inclusion Council
The purpose of the E&I Council is to serve as an advisory group for the Office of Equity and Inclusion. The Council also helps to move campus equity and inclusion efforts forward, uphold and model the values of equity and inclusion, continuously deepen personal analysis of issues and concepts pertaining to racial justice and equity, and discuss supports and solutions as issues and concerns arise. Its overall charge is to help shape college policy with respect to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The group’s strengths are analyzing different EDI related issues (both internally and externally) that affect Cascadia and providing creative solutions, feedback, and guidance in addressing those issues.
Members are selected based on having deep personal analysis and/or direct experience of issues and concepts pertaining to racial justice and equity, interest in moving E&I efforts forward, and the ability to complete the tasks listed as part of workload. Standing members of the Council include:
- Executive Director of Equity and Inclusion
- Cascadia Scholars Program Lead

- Manager of Accessibility & Student Support Services
- Director of International Programs
- Director of Student Life
- Founding Faculty
