FREE COMMUNITY EVENT: Save by Savoring - How chocolate can be a vehicle for social change with Simran Sethi
On Wednesday, April 11th at 3:30pm in Mobius Hall, Cascadia Student Life will be hosting a presentation and guided chocolate tasting event with special guest, Simran Sethi. Simran, is a fellow at the Institute for Food and Development Policy, author of the award-winning book, Bread, Wine, Chocolate: The Slow Loss of Foods We Love, and Creator of The Slow Melt podcast. She will share insights on how the cocoa industry can, and should, be a driver for social and environmental change. The event will include a guided tasting of three distinct cocoa origins as a means of helping chocolate lovers better understand craft chocolate and make decisions that will support a more sustainable chocolate industry.
