Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Michael directs the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, with a mission to support College performance through data analysis, continuous improvement, planning and decision support. Michael began his career as an individual and family therapist, after receiving a Master of Social Work degree. Later, while completing his PhD at the University of Washington, he conducted foster care research. Other leadership positions include: Data Solutions Program Manager, Associate Director of Evaluation, Chief of Management Accountability and Performance, Assistant Dean (College of Education, Seattle University), and non-profit management consultant. A native of Seattle, Michael loves to be outdoors hiking, fly fishing, or sailing. Fun Fact: one summer Michael sailed through the San Juan Islands in an old Hawaiian outrigger.
