Anne Tuominen, PhD
Anne Tuominen holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Washington, and her teaching specialties include foundational and upper-level sociology courses (family, religion), and college success courses. She also has extensive experience in online teaching and course design, and speaks several languages. Her dissertation research on tourism and post-Soviet change in Estonia was supported by two years of a U.S. Department of Education FLAS fellowship. She was a UW Sociology postdoctoral lecturer and Evening Degree Instructor, and has also taught for Western Washington University. She received the Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Service Award from Cascadia College for 2014-15, and the Cascadia Foundation Above and Beyond Award for 2019-20.
