Financial Aid

Opt-in for online version of 1098-T forms

Cascadia College provides documentation of tuition paid from January 1 – December 31 to students every year through the 1098-T forms, also called Tuition Statements, that may be used for tax credit, if eligible. Paper copies of these forms are mailed to the address students have on file by January 31 of every year – however, we encourage and request that students choose to select an online version through ctcLink. Follow the instructions to learn how.

Financial Aid helps you and/or your parents to meet basic educational expenses for an academic degree, a professional technical degree, or a certificate program. While the primary responsibility for paying for college rests with you and your family, Cascadia offers many resources to help you.

The Kodiak Corner Front Counter can assist you with general financial aid questions and collect basic financial aid forms.

Go to your ctcLink account to check your financial aid status online and view what is required to complete the financial aid process, check updates or additional information requested, or to view your financial aid award.

Launch your ctcLink account in the Firefox browser or on your mobile device.

For in depth information about your financial aid record, you may email finaid@cascadia.edu  or check in to see the financial aid on duty counselor by Virtual Assistance or in-person at the Kodiak Corner during service hours.

Cascadia administers Financial Aid in accordance with established state and federal regulations and policies.

Processing Timelines

Check Your Financial Aid Status

The Student Financial Services staff is dedicated to processing files timely. Files are processed in date order by your file complete date, which can be viewed on the ctcLink Student Self Service Portal. Our processing time frame is 6-8 weeks from your file complete date, or the time in which we begin awarding for the academic year (July 1 – June 30), whichever date is later. During peak processing times (typically Summer and Fall quarters) when there is a high volume of students to award, processing time increases. During these time periods, please allow 8-10 weeks for your file to be processed.

**Please note that our office typically begins to process files for each new academic year in approximately mid-June.

We encourage you to check the ctcLink Student Self Service Portal frequently for any updates or information we may ask or need from you, or to review your financial aid awards once your file has been awarded. We ask that you limit your emails to our office as much as possible to allow us more time to process your file. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work diligently to process your financial aid requests!

To login, the username for the ctcLink Student Self Service Portal is your SSN (not your SID#) and the password is your six digit birth date (MMDDYY).

The resources available within the ctcLink Student Self Service Portal are:

  • Find out what is required to complete the Financial Aid Process
  • View and print your awards
  • Determine whether you have a Financial Aid check
