Scholarships for International Students  

Picture of 5 students and Cascadia College presidentCascadia College is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities for both new and current Cascadia international students. All scholarship applications must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered for selection. Scholarship awards will be distributed to recipients after the 30th day of the quarter for which the award was granted. Cascadia international scholarships are one-time disbursements; the scholarship dollar amount varies by scholarship.

Current Cascadia International Students

Global Achievement Scholarship

The Global Achievement Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, and outstanding talent or achievements in one or more of the following areas: Academic Merit, Leadership, and/or Community Service. Awards are $2,000 each.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled Cascadia students who have already completed at least one quarter of classes at Cascadia.
  • Applicants are required to be enrolled in classes for the next academic quarter.
  • Applicants may only receive the Global Achievement Scholarship once per category (Academic Merit, Leadership, Community Service).

Requirements

  • Completed Application (Required). Please write neatly and be sure to answer all questions.
  • Personal Statement (Required). All applicants will be required to provide a personal statement (500 words max). Topics will be based on scholarship category. Please review the scholarship types below for more details.
  • Recommendation Form (Required). Applicants are required to submit at least one (1), but may submit up to two (2), recommendation letter(s).
  • Unofficial Cascadia Transcript (Required)IP staff will download the applicant’s unofficial transcript from ctcLink.

New Cascadia International Students

Global Achievement - International Diversity Scholarships

The International Diversity Scholarship was created to welcome our new international students and help ensure that they make up a vibrant and growing part of the Cascadia community. Awards are $2,000 each.

Applicant must be a new or transfer (within the United States) international students on an F-1 visa who have been accepted to Cascadia College, but have not yet taken any classes.

Requirements

  • Completed Application (Required). Please write neatly and be sure to answer all questions.
  • Personal Statement (Required). All applicants will be required to provide a personal statement (500 words max). Topics will be based on scholarship category. Please review the scholarship types below for more details.
  • Recommendation Form (Optional). You can have up to two (2) teachers/counselors (High School/University) complete the recommendation form.

Application Deadlines:

  • Summer quarter: May 15
  • Fall quarter: August 15
  • Winter quarter: November 15
  • Spring quarter: February 15

Education USA Scholarships

This scholarship was created in recognition of the unique role that Education USA Centers and advisors serve in supporting study abroad to the U.S. Two scholarships of $3,500 each will be awarded every year by the Cascadia College International Programs Office.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a new international student on an F-1 visa who has been accepted to Cascadia College, but have not yet taken any classes. The applicant must have attended an Education USA student fair or have utilized advising services provided by an Education USA advisor. Must not be represented by an agent or study abroad company.

Requirements

  • Student Information” section completed by the student (Required). Please write neatly and be sure to answer all questions.
  • Education USA Advisor” section completed by an Education USA advisor (Required). Application forms are to be emailed to Cascadia International Programs (international@cascadia.edu) by the Education USA advisor.
  • Personal Statement (Required). All applicants will be required to provide a personal statement (500 words max). Topics will be based on scholarship category. Please review the scholarship types below for more details.

Application Deadlines:

  • For students admitted for Summer or Fall quarter: June 1
  • For students admitted for Winter or Spring quarter: December 1

Please note that all required documents must be submitted at the same time. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. Awards will not be distributed until registration is closed and we have confirmed that the awardee is registered for a full course of study (12+ credits).

Cascadia international students are also encouraged to apply for Cascadia Foundation Scholarships and any other college or other scholarship program that is open to non-U.S. citizens/residents.
