Cascadia Community College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), 8060 165th Avenue NE, Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052.

Cascadia first received accreditation in July 2007. Accreditation is especially important in facilitating the transfer of credits for students who intend to graduate from Cascadia and then attend a four-year college or university in another state. Accredited status provides colleges with a standard for accepting the credits earned at other colleges. The process of accreditation includes visits by teams of leaders from other colleges, extensive self-study activities and documentation, and campus-wide participation in meeting standards in nine broad areas of teaching and learning, governance, finance, and administration.
