There is no greater tool than being prepared before the day goes astray. Through the efforts of the joint-campus Emergency Preparedness Committee, comprised of leaders from both institutions, Cascadia and UWB are dedicated to the ongoing work of improving disaster preparedness for our campus community.
In the event of an emergency or weather-related notification, Cascadia will issue an alert via FlashAlert. Sign Up to Receive Alerts from Cascadia. These alerts will also publish to the college's Twitter and Facebook accounts. Cascadia will also move quickly to post emergency notifications on the college's homepage.
Be prepared in the event of an earthquake.
In the rare event of an active shooter on campus, your response will be dictated by the specific circumstances of the encounter.
The most important part of being prepared is knowing what's going on. Stay up to date on what's happening on campus and in the community.
College preparedness is only part of the equation. What are you doing away from campus to ensure you are safe and ready should incidents occur?
