We like to say here at the Foundation that "many claws make light work." It characterizes the importance of the fact that we cannot accomplish our mission alone. And this year, no Cascadia office exemplifies this truth more than Erin Blakeney, Shawn Miller, and the rest of Student Success Services team. In fact, seven Annual Fund Team Leaders from this area joined with us to promote this year's campaign and help lead the way in achieving our goal of $20,000.

They put their heads together and came up with an amazing idea.  And we were thrilled when we learned that not only would they be hosting an upcoming President's Pub, but they would also be including a silent auction at the event to raise funds for the campaign.

Student Success Services

Word quickly spread and enthusiasm grew, inspiring many across the college to get involved. Faculty, Human Resources, the Foundation ... and the list goes on.   The result ... thirteen fantastic baskets and other items.

  • Seahawks Fan Gear
  • Champagne and Truffles
  • Ampersand Lounge
  • School Spirit
  • Game Night!
  • Faculty Basket
  • Coffee and Chocolate
  • Pumpkin Fest Beer
  • Louis Vuitton Clutch
  • “Get Your Kody On”
  • Washington Wine Tour
  • Duck Dynasty Fun Pack
  • Movie Night

Pairing the auction with the President’s Pub helped drive attendance and raise awareness about the event and about the 2013 Annual Fund and its goal. The Pub was the best attended yet. And the result … 59 bids from 31 bidders … ranging from $35 to $200 … and raising $1,142 in support of the Foundation and its mission!

A sincere and heartfelt KUDDOS! to Erin, Shawn, the Student Success Services team, our item donors, bidders and successful winners. Without support from wonderful folks like these, who step up and support the Foundation and its mission in a tangible way, we simply could not achieve all that we need to do. With these efforts we are poised to do more and provide more services to our students, our college, and our community.  Thank you!
