Any other requests from the broader campus will be at the discretion of Student Life staff, and as space allows. We will not include advertisements about registering for courses or academic programs, or outside community events unless directly connected to a college department or student clubs. All S&A funds are required to adhere to state and campus guidelines. Any relevant documents can be found here.
Services & Activities Fees
Colleges are authorized by statute to establish and collect Services & Activities (S&A) fees from students. Once collected, the fees become public funds but remain dedicated for the use and benefit of the student body. The Office of Student Life manages the allocation of S&A Funds and ensures they are only spent as the students intended. To learn more about how Cascadia allocates S&A fee dollars, join the S&A Fee Budget Committee.
State House Bill (SHB) 2352 concerning institutions of higher education services and activities fees, sponsored by Rep. Chris Reykdal, D-Olympia, was signed by the Governor on March 29, 2012. The bill requires Services and Activities (S&A) fee committees at institutions of higher education to post S&A fees expenditure information on the institutions’ websites. To comply with the state house bill, S&A fee expenditures from past academic years can be downloaded.
