Guided Pathways is a transformative college experience that aims to empower every student, regardless of their background, to explore, choose, plan, and successfully complete programs aligned with their career and education goals. We are dedicated to enhancing student completion rates, closing equity gaps, and increasing enrollments in today's competitive environment.

A Pathway for All

Cascadia believes in removing barriers and creating opportunities for all students. Our focus is on addressing the unique challenges faced by students of color, first-generation students, students from low-income backgrounds, and working adults. By advancing equity and inclusivity in education, we aim to level the playing field and ensure every student has an equal chance at success. Ultimately we are aiming to:

1. Reduce/eliminate equity gaps
2. Reduce time to completion
3. Increase rates of completion

Definitions

Areas of Interest (AOI)

First time in college students will work with an advisor to identify an Area of Interest, which is a grouping of programs that lead to similar career pathways. Cascadia has identified seven AOIs.

Pathways

A pathway is a specific progression of courses that lead to program completion in the fastest and most affordable way. Cascadia has more than 70 pathways.

Program Maps

Every Pathway is associated with a Program Map that lays out the required courses, prerequisites, number of credits, length of program, career possibilities, and transfer destinations for the Pathway.

Our Guided Pathways initiative introduces you to our 7 Areas of Interest and 71 Pathways designed to help you navigate your academic journey with ease and confidence.

We're here to guide you as you choose and enter your pathway. Our knowledgeable advisors and College 101 faculty will provide personalized support to ensure that you make informed decisions about your academic journey.

We know that staying focused and motivated can be challenging. That's why we offer a robust advising process embedded within the pathway experience. Our advisors will be there for you, providing ongoing support, guidance, and resources to help you stay on track towards achieving your goals.
