Nelnet Overview
Don't have money to pay your college tuition all at once? Enroll in our online payment plan through Nelnet and start budgeting for your education today. Online enrollment includes a monthly payment plan, flexible payment options, and no interest.
Payments are processed on the 15th of each month and will continue until the balance is paid in full. You must have a minimum balance of $300 to be eligible for a payment plan.
International students must obtain approval from the International Programs office to enroll in a payment plan.
How to Enroll in Nelnet Payment Plan

- Choose “Nelnet Payment Plan”
IMPORTANT: Partial payment without an approved payment plan is not accepted, and classes may be dropped for nonpayment.
Cost to Participate
- $20 nonrefundable enrollment fee per term (ACH & credit card)
- $30 returned payment fee if a payment is returned

Nelnet Payment Plan Availability
The Nelnet Payment Plan availability and structure is based on Cascadia's enrollment calendar. The college may elect not to have Nelnet available during specific times and dates during registration.
Balances are adjusted due to financial aid being awarded, residency updates, adding / dropping a course, etc. Adjustments are not immediate. You should review your agreement balance online through your Nelnet account and email arfinance@cascadia.edu if you believe there is an issue.
All down payments, full payments, and enrollment fees are processed immediately.
Make sure to keep track of deadlines for the Nelnet Payment Plan each term.
FAQ
Students that are currently enrolled in classes for the specified term and have a balance of $300 or higher for class tuition and fees can enroll in a payment plan.
- Students that have a past due balance from previous term(s) are not eligible until the past balance is cleared.
- International students must have approval from the International Programs office to enroll in a payment plan.
There is a non-refundable $20 enrollment fee per term. The enrollment fee is due when you enroll in the payment plan. Other possible costs from Nelnet include a $30 charge for insufficient funds or wrong account information.
All downpayments and enrollment fees are processed immediately.
- Students will be blocked from enrolling in a payment plan if they have a past due balance. To clear the hold, past balances must be paid in full.
- International students will be blocked from enrolling in a payment plan until the International Programs office approves the student’s payment plan request.
You can make payments from your bank account by ACH, or by credit/debit card.
If you are entitled to a refund, it will be processed to the card used to make the original payment. If you process your payment via ACH, refunds will be issued as a paper check sent out to the address you have on file with Cascadia College.
You should review your payment plan agreement balance online through your Nelnet account. Adjustments to your balance will take 24 hours to reflect on Nelnet.
College refund deadlines and policy apply. If a class is withdrawn after the refund deadline, you will still be responsible for making the payment.
