Next Steps After Registering to Vote
Once you register to vote, here's the next steps you can do.
- Think about what your values are and what matters the most to you
- Research the candidates and propositions (both locally and nationally) and determine which vote you think is the better option:
- 2024 Washington State Voter Pamphlet (election guides) were mailed out on October 11th, 2024
- Voter Pamphlets (election guide) also available online in a variety of formats - Searchable PDF, Audio MP3, and Video
- Description of elected offices - learn about qualifications and responsibilities for federal and state offices
- Remember that your vote is your decision. Do your best to think about what is important to you and vote accordingly
- Ballots are mailed to the address where you're registered to vote no later than 18 days prior to elections. For military and overseas voters, ballots are mailed 45 days prior to elections.

Drop your signed ballot at an official ballot drop box or return by mail, no stamp needed before 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.
- You can drop off your signed ballot at the Official Ballot Drop Box on campus in front of the ARC
- If needed, find other Ballot Drop Box Locations and Voting Center Locations
- In-person services and accessible voting devices are available through your local elections office or voting center until election day, Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, before 8:00 PM.

Cascadia & UWB Counseling Center will offer Extended Crisis and Drop-in Hours during election week November 4 - 8, 2024. Between it being the middle of fall quarter and possible stress around the elections this week the counseling center is extending their crisis/drop in hours. If you'd like to speak to a counselor for a 30 minute one on one session please drop by the Counseling Center during the listed times. No appointment needed, first come, first served.
