Stephanie Krimmel — Sense of Place
October 6, 2025 to December 4, 2025
Stephanie Krimmel's Sense of Place invites you to experience abstract "place-portraits" created by exploring physical spaces and landscapes through lenses of emotion and collective experiences. Using mark-making, writing, photography and digital painting, Krimmel produces installations that play with the concepts of time, scale and human experience. The exhibit features selections from a body of work that chronicles her personal life, creating a self-portrait. The exhibit also features a large work titled Sammamish River, a collaboration with Bothell-area community members in that pays homage to our waterway.
Krimmel lives and works in Seattle, where she is a member of Shift Gallery. When not making art, she can be found skiing or hiking in the Cascades with her family or coaxing life out of her backyard garden plot.
