Andrew Dicus

English

Dr. Andrew Dicus teaches a variety of writing and literature classes, focusing primarily on composition and research strategies. He prioritizes identifying and building up skills that will help students write for audiences beyond the classroom.

His research is interdisciplinary, focusing on intersections of literary and philosophical accounts of concepts like community and legitimacy, mostly in the eighteenth century. His scholarly work has been published in the European Romantic Review, Modern Philology, Eighteenth-Century Fiction, and others.

Outside the classroom, Dicus is an author and illustrator, mostly for younger readers. He is the author of April and Ozark (Baobab Press). You can generally find him outside, admiring dogs.
